Let’s create adaptive art-space for children in Lanchkhuti

Campaign content

Our goal is to create a multifunctional art school in Nigvziani, which is located in Lanchkhuti municipality. The art school will be focused on the schoolers, adults, children with disabilities and special educational needs. Spaces for different directions and professional skills will be opened in the school. Within the framework of teaching, students will be able to get to know and study Georgian folk culture and crafts. Exhibitions will be organized for the graduates to show the products created by them.In the multi-functional art school, students will learn:
  • Ceramics
  • Woodwork
  • Tapestry weaving
  • Knitting with Georgian folk ornaments (weaving on sticks)
  • Fine arts
  • Playing Georgian-folk instruments
  • Iconography
  • Development of academic skills for students with disabilities, special needs at the level of daily needs
The purpose of the project is:
  • Studying the craft as a future profession.
  • Productively use of free time after school.
  • Distraction of students from gadgets.
  • Introduction, study and population of Georgian folk culture and crafts for the next generation.
  • Mutual integration and socialization of children with disabilities and special educational needs and typical students.
  • Study of needlework as a future profession (source of livelihood) for persons with disabilities and special needs.
  • Study of simple academic skills (reading, writing, calculation) for people with disabilities.
  The project is important for the socialization of the local youth and their integration with the children with disabilities and special educational needs. Festivals will be organized within the framework of the school to show and share the products created by one's own hands. The creation of a multi-functional art school will instill in the future generations the love of the folk traditional culture of their country.
