Create a library for children in Verona

Matchfunded By USAID Civil Society Engagement Program

Campaign content

Verona village is located in Sagarejo, near Gombor pass. There are currently 10 children living in Verona. There is no school, no library in the village. They study at the Gombori public school, which is kilometers away from Verona.
As for the library, I believe that the village of Verona should have its own library. The summer holidays, almost the entire three months, which are the most favorable period for reading and non-formal education, are lost for the children of Verona. At this time they cannot use the school library. They spend the whole summer in Verona, where they are deprived of reading literature and other developmental resources. There are families with many children and it is certainly difficult for them to purchase literature of all ages with their own finances. A year ago, I started a campaign to collect books, which I implemented with supplements. A certain number of books were collected, which were donated by private people, as well as a certain number of books were promised to us by the Union of Writers and Giorgi Kekelidze.
However, in Verona there is no space, no building, where I can place the books. In this case, we see a solution in the purchase of a living container-type room, which will be built in the village of Verona, and the books collected by me will be placed inside and a small reading space will be arranged.
