Sport climbing is a modern discipline that evolved from traditional rock climbing. Climbing has become very popular in the last two decades. The development of walls helped to popularize the sport, making it accessible to everyone. It should be noted that this sport took its first steps on the Olympic stage, making its official debut at Tokyo 2020 and will be seen at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Sport climbing has a remarkably positive effect on the physical and mental development of adults and children, develops the motor skills of the body and has a positive effect on the development of agility, strength and endurance. Gradually, children develop a sense of self-confidence. Self-esteem improves. Doctors often recommend sport climbing because it promotes growth, prevents spinal problems, joint flexibility and stability. Climbing is a solution not only to overcome physical problems, but also to overcome psychological and mental obstacles.

Currently, our team (NINJA CLIMBING TEAM) consists of 12 children, they train in the climbing hall of Vake where unfortunately the conditions do not meet modern standards, besides, the hall receives a lot of visitors, both amateurs and professionals, therefore, the equipment available there cannot satisfy those who want to climb in quantity. Children have to wait and golden moments of their development are lost. Based on the above, it is our desire for the team to have its own mountaineering equipment, especially since modern equipment is vital for this type of sport, which is associated with large sums of money, at the same time it constantly needs to be updated, since depending on the specifics, it is related to safety risks, suffers from wear and tear and is categorically not allowed to be outdated. Exercise with equipment, running shoes often need to be replaced due to wear and tear, you know they are teenagers and running shoes get too small very quickly. It is also worth noting that for practice on routes of different difficulty, the children take us to climb on natural rocks outside the city, the lack of personal equipment creates a problem here as well.

We have to ask or rent, which is associated with additional costs. The team is very successful, we have multiple champions and prize winners in all competitions and events held in Georgia. For example, at the nearest festival, the team was represented by 9 children in different age categories and we won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. Unfortunately, we do not have any source of funding, including from the federation, except for parents and personal expenses. In fact, we have to work on enthusiasm. Children have the potential to name the country on the international stage and remind the world of Khergiani's homeland again.
