Let’s strengthen the community center in Tsintskaro

1/1

Campaign content

We are internally displaced women as a result of the 2008 Russia-Georgia war. We currently live in the village of Tsintskaro, Tetritskaro municipality, along with other displaced people, eco- immigrants from Adjara and Svaneti, and an Azerbaijani and Greek population of more than 3,000 people - mostly socially vulnerable families. From the day of resettlement, we, internally displaced women, united and began to take care of solving problems through advocacy. To enhance the effectiveness of our actions, we soon registered Community Foundation Kodori; within the framework of the project "Women for Equality, Peace and Development" with the support of the Tasso Foundation, and in 2015 we already purchased and renovated an office building with the help of several organizations. Our goal is to promote social-economic development for people living in rural areas. To achieve the above, we, as a grant recipient and grant-giving organization, cooperate with governmental and non- governmental organizations. We implement social projects, taking into account the problems in the community. Training seminars, events with the joint participation of women, girls and boys, short-term professional and artisanal courses, and information meetings can be held in our community centre. To ensure the sustainability and enhance the effectiveness of our organizational work, we need additional computers and books for our small library. We need your help to implement the project Strengthen the community centre in Tsintskaro together, for which you should go to the Orbeliani Meti's platform and support our idea with a small donation. We can successfully implement the project if the total amount of donations reaches 4200 Georgian Lari. Thank you all in advance.
