15-th August 2021, Village Didadjara Fire… It is very difficult for me and my friend Alex to recall the hot August of last year. It is a story filled up with heroes without capes, locals who risked their lives to fight disaster only with water buckets. Where were the fire and rescue services while the villagers tried to put out the burning wooden house with their bare hands? Here is the answer. Due to long and inappropriate roads, it took long time for them to reach the fire site. List of problems does not end here; Fire engine that arrived late did not have enough liquid to extinguish woodhouse, therefore the help of the people became necessary again. Fortunately story has no fatal ending, but still, local residents were very upset about their neighbor who got homeless. I am a 14-year-old boy named Giorgi who witnessed this tragedy. My memories of this evening still give me goose bumps. How can I help my native village? Maybe, I can escape my fellow villagers from this big tragedy and kids my age will never see blazed night in Didadjara… Our biggest wish is to supply Didadjara with fire-extinguishers and 5000L water tanks, for locals to fight fire with appropriate equipment before firefighting service arrival. About tanks, those would be useful not only for people, but also fire engine. Please, help us to make our village safer place. #LetsHelpVillage
