Campaign content

In December last year, five 60+ people officially founded the "60+ Grandparents" club in Telavi. The purpose of which is to contribute to the dignified aging, socialization and non-formal education of the elderly people living in the municipality. After registration, the municipality's town hall gave us a room of 31 square meters, which is fully repairable, for a period of 2 years. (We need 12,000 GEL to arrange the space, counting the renovation company) The room has only well-equipped shared bathrooms, which are used by other organizations working on the same floor.
It should be noted that there are no programs for the involvement of 60+ people in the municipality, and 93 people joined the club within two months. Despite not having a budget, we conduct physical activities with the club members with the involvement of a volunteer teacher, as well as organize film screenings and cultural meetings. Also, on March 8 of this year, we are planning to organize an exhibition and sale of 60+ people living in the city at the Ereke II House-Museum. Thanks to the leadership of the club, from May, club members will be given free lessons on international standard courts in the city. Ballroom dancing lessons will also be held. "Doctor's hour", culinary duel, "Mr. Papa and Miss Grandma" competition will be held at different intervals. The club currently uses the Telavi office of the "Network of Democratic Engagement Centers" for meetings. In order for the club to function fully, we need our own well-equipped space. You hope that our idea will be supported and together we will prolong the life of 60+ grandparents.
