“Zero Effect” is a zero waste social space on\u00a0 7,Melikishvili street,Tbilisi, Georgia. The main goal of the space is to reduce waste by encouraging sustainable production and consumption in our country.<\/p>\n

The idea of \u200b\u200bcreating Zero Effect space came to us 4 years ago, after we asked ourselves a very simple question: where does the waste we generate every day go?<\/p>\n

In the process of searching for an answer to this question, we discovered that the problem of waste pollution is related to a linen economic model in which we live. In this model, starting with the extraction of resources, continuing with the production of products, and then with their consumption and disposal, we humans cause great harm to our ecosystem.<\/p>\n

In this process we understood that it is important to create a new sustainable, circular model where waste is not garbage, but a useful resource.<\/p>\n

The “Zero Effect” space was created in response to this problem.<\/p>\n

We wanted to create a place where people could talk about environmental issues, exchange ideas and find solutions.<\/p>\n

Today, the space combines an eco-friendly, circular principle store. Most importantly, different\u00a0 activities like workshops, movie screenings, eco networkings, in conjunction with our swap corner and green library brings environmentally conscious people together.<\/p>\n

As part of this project, we plan to set up a waste sorting room, so people could bring their collected waste for recycling. With the help of the project we also plan to purchase equipment to increase informative activities about waste problems and spread information about environmental topics. Our goal is to reach more people, enlarge our movement and contribute to reducing waste.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
